4mm Scale Goods Yard Crane

This kit of parts builds into a representation of a yard crane typical of many which could be found dotted around railway goods yards in the UK.
This example is loosely based upon the example at Tenterden Town station on the Kent and East Sussex railway.

The parts have many fine details, bolt heads, gear wheels, etc, and will look grand if some time and care is taken with the assembly and painting.

The kit does not include chain, or brass wire to keep costs down and simplify the packaging. A great alternative to chain would be thread to represent a wire rope, and stripped electrical cable would provide suitable material for the wire struts.
