SE&CR 20T Ballast Hopper Wagon - Pre Order for 12/24 dispatch

7 of these hopper wagons were supplied to the South Eastern & Chatham Railway in 1911 by the Leeds Forge Company. At the time they were unique in allowing their contents to be deposited between, or either side of the rails, and offered a considerable labour saving over the traditional ballast wagons.
This model is a one piece 3d print, with separate etched components for the springing, hand wheels and number plates.

The purchaser will need to supply 26mm pinpoint axle sets and 0.3mm brass wire for the various hand rails and couplings.
Please note, these have been designed for screw-link couplings. If intending to fit NEM (or equivalent) couplings then some scratch building will be required.

To follow I will be releasing 2 ballast brake vans suitable for use with these wagons; the 1918 20T Ballast Plough and Brake van with etched plough, and the 1911 SE&CR Ballast Brake. These will be available very early 2025.

Also, the diagram 1746 version of these wagons built in 1918 have been drawn-up and test printed and will be made available very soon.

I have what I think is an almost complete collection of SE&CR wagons which have been drawn-up, never with the intention of sale. However, I have been getting so many requests for them that I will re-visit the drawings and release them for sale slowly over the coming months.
