Pre-order: Model Railway Turntable Controller (wireless) & Receiver.

£200.00

The Bexhill West turntable controller is an electronic device for controlling almost any 4 wire stepper motor controlled model railway turntable. It is recommended that it is used in conjunction with our belt-drive unit which has an integral sensor to accurately calibrate alignment, although it is quite suitable for retrofitting to existing stepper controlled turntables if a suitable sensor mounting can be fabricated to suit your installation. If you are unsure about this, please email for further details and we will do our best to help you.

The controller will store up to 99 roads, the position of each can be set via intuitive on-screen controls and once set can be modified, renamed and deleted as per the users requirements.

The controller offers user definable acceleration and deceleration to and from each road. The unit has two speed settings (Scale and Rapid), each of which can be defined by the user.
Double-clicking either the CW or ACW buttons will move the turntable to the next available road and a triple-click will cause the turntable to perform a 180 degree rotation.
The OLED display shows the bridge position and head/tail locations and updates in real-time as the turntable moves. The entire display can be rotated to any angle allowing the user to take advantage of the wireless functionality as they move around their layout, rotating the display to ensure clarity in use.

The wiring to the turntable is routed via the controller which will switch the track polarity automatically as required. The switching is via a relay and is almost instantaneous such that sound fitted locos will continue hissing without interruption during the manoeuvre.

The Bexhill West Belt-Drive incorporates a slip ring to feed the track power via the tubular central drive shaft.

The controller has a rechargeable cell, which provides sufficient capacity for a busy day's operation, and can be recharged via a USB lead. It will continue to operate whilst charging.
The receiver is designed to operate on 12v, a suitable supply is generally available on most layouts. Alternatively a plug-in power supply could also be used.

The controller will operate up to 4 turntables and is supplied with one receiver. Additional receivers will be required for each additional turntable.
The additional receivers could be mounted on other layouts, enabling a single controller to operate over several layouts.
