OO Gauge Model Railway Ballast Distributor

This device complements the vacuum ballasting system in that it will distribute ballast along a length of track prior to clean-up with the vacuum system. Your chosen ballast material can be dispensed via a recycled 'pop' bottle.
If you are using the vacuum ballasting system, then you will be able to simply swap the separator cap for this distributor cap and lay your collected material quickly and simply.

Please don't expect a perfectly laid ballast bed straight from this product, it is designed to be followed-up by the vacuum system once the base material has been laid.

It is not necessary to use this device in tandem with the vacuum system, but it can help to speed up the process even further.
Please note, the notches on the underside are designed to be a tight-fit onto the rail head. You may find it useful to adjust these with a needle file to make the operation smoother. This is to account for a range of track types code 75/100 hand built, etc.
